Austrian Standards International

Austrian Standards International – Standardization and Innovation” (www.austrian-standards.at/) is the recognized standardization body in Austria, a non-profit service organization (association) founded in 1920 and part of a national and international standardization network: i.e. the Austrian member of the European Committee for Standardization CEN, the International Organization for Standardization ISO and the European Telecommunications Standards Institute ETSI. Austrian Standards International cooperates with OVE which is the responsible for standardization in the electro-technical field being member of CENELEC and IEC.

Austrian Standards International is also involved in standards and standardization related research projects bringing together communities from different stakeholder categories such as industry, societal stakeholders, consumers, public authorities, in order to use standards and standardization as channels for disseminating the knowledge created in research projects, to give just one example of the manifold benefits and reasons.
